| Description | Very weak constellation, between Andromeda and Cygnus. During the XX century, in Lacerta well three novae stars appeared; currently, however it doesn't contain particular objects visible with small telescopes. | ||||
| Mythology and history | The constellation was drawn in 1687 by Johannes Hevelius. Hevelius gave it also another name, Stellio the Triton, that however fell soon into disuse. | ||||
